Footpaths Working Group

The Parish Council contracts for the cutting of footpaths and bridleways across the parish based on a grading system of gold, silver or bronze standard.

Most dog owners are responsible and pick it up, bag it and dispose of it in the bins provided or talk it home. But a minority of dog owners are irresponsible taking no notice of the law to clear up after their dog even though they could be fined up to £1000 if prosecuted. Adults find it an unpleasant task cleaning dog poo off their shoes. But if a child gets it on their hands and injests (and it has roundworm parasites), Toxocariasis can lead to serious illness including blindness.
