Rural Business grants are available to rural businesses, particularly farms, tourism, leisure, and food and drink producers, who are looking to develop and grow by diversifying or developing their existing products, services or facilities.
Minimum grant value of £2,500 and maximum of £200,000 with an anticipated average grant value for this fund of £40,000. Priority activity for the scheme includes:
- nature recovery investments.
- improvements to the quality of the existing tourism offer.
- food and drink processing for non-farmer owned businesses.
- projects that grow the local social economy.
We cannot fund wages or salaries with this grant funding. Plus we cannot fund new for old or replacement goods and services.
Applicants must use their grant to create a positive outcome such as:
- creating a new job or jobs.
- adopting new or improved products or services.
- increasing turnover.
- improving productivity.
The business must…
- Be in an eligible area of Cornwall & Isles of Scilly
- Provide at least 50% match funding.
- Cashflow the cost of the project as grants will be paid in arrears.
- Contribute to at least one of the Good Growth Principles.
