Ahead of a potential roll out of the 20mph speed limit in the village we have reviewed the data from the speed cameras from July 2021 through to the end of August 2023.

Presently 66% of drivers keep within the 30mph limit at the Vehicle Activated Sign (VAS) camera locations.

The percentage of drivers keeping within the 30mph speed limit has improved by 5% over the last two years.

The highest recorded speeds as the VAS locations show a few thoughtless drivers travelling at speeds around twice the 30mph speed limit as they enter the village.

Dangerous excessive speeds are typically recorded between 9pm and 7am.  The data shows the VAS have not yet changed the behaviour of the few thoughtless drivers.
