May is a busy month for the village and to kick off celebrating the Coronation, St Buryan held a Community Picnic.  Following on from last years successful event for the Jubilee, Helen Wilson-Prowse once again organised a picnic for the whole community to come and enjoy at the Community House, and as the sun came out, so did the villagers!

Everyone was invited to bring their own picnic to share with family and friends and there was a bouncy castle and games for the children to enjoy. Entertainment was provided by popular Cornish folk duo Will Keating and John Dowling and later the St Buryan Male Voice Choir took over keeping the crowd singing.

It was a busy afternoon for the volunteers at the Community House, and helpers at the event but it was thoroughly enjoyed by all.
