Cornwall Council is urging local households to start 2023 with a recycling resolution.
More and more people in Cornwall are recycling, and 99% of the recycling that Cornwall’s residents put out for collection is reprocessed. But on average almost a quarter of each black rubbish bag collected from homes in Cornwall is still made up of materials that could have been recycled from home.
Cornwall Council is introducing major changes to its collection service later this year to help increase recycling rates and will be contacting all residents about the changes.
In the meantime:
Residents who need more recycling containers can order them from the Cornwall Council website.
Anyone who’s not sure what they can or can’t recycle can visit the online A-Z of recycling.
