There’s still time for local projects to bid for a share of £1.885m of Community Levelling Up funding as part of the Good Growth Programme to help tackle deprivation and level up communities across Cornwall and the Isles of Scilly.
Town and parish councils, community organisations, community interest companies, businesses and faith groups have until the end of January to apply for investment of £5,000 to £200,000 for:
Refurbishing, re-purposing, renovating and creating new buildings on high streets and neighbourhood shopping areas to help deliver increased footfall, increased economic activity and pride in place
Funding for new, or improvements to existing, community and neighbourhood infrastructure, projects that deliver improved public spaces and economic regeneration.
Engagement schemes to support community involvement in decision making in local regeneration.
Open to all communities in Cornwall and the Isles of Scilly, bids are especially welcome from parishes and villages that may not have seen major benefits from other funding sources such as the Town Deal, Future High Streets and Town Vitality Fund.
